On 22nd September a team from PPG will be running the Ipswich half marathon to raise money for George to get a new Paravan Piccolino Wheelchair
George is a delightful, bright, happy 7 year-old-boy who attends his local primary school. He has Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2, a muscle wasting condition for which at the moment there is no treatment or cure
George has never been able to walk and has been dependent on a power wheelchair since he was in nursery. His current chair is now too small for him and needs to be replaced as soon as possible
The Paravan Piccolino Wheelchair offers all essential functions; good supporting seating, recline and tilt in space. It has many other specialist features including a seat riser, which allows the seat to rise up to bring the user up to adult eye level; this is especially useful in lessons and the playground for social development and independence. It can be fitted with an automatic lock down when in the family vehicle which makes outings much easier than fiddling with the alternative webbing straps
The Paravan Piccolino Wheelchair is a high quality chair in terms of materials, engineering and design. Having a chair of this calibre is very important to George and he’ll make good use of all available functions. This chair should last George a minimum of 5 years
With your support we could make a huge difference to George’s life for the next 5 years
Fantastic turn out for the AJ’s Legacy Golf Day and what a great day it was. With 31 teams and 118 golfers we managed to raise a whopping £2,533 on our 10th Anniversary. We even had a hole in one on the par 4 1st. Huge thanks to everyone who continues to support our golf day and the rest of our endeavours. We couldn’t achieve it without you.
2 years ago Bishop & Miller Auctioneers made AJ’s Legacy one of their chosen charities. Raising as much money as they can from their auction catalogues, which are now free to all customers with an encouraged donation made by their customers on auction days. Bishop and Miller are the only auctioneers in the country to offer a free catalogue to all people whilst raising funds for a charity. There are charity fundraising collection points located in the saleroom for people to ‘drop their spare change in the pot’ when visiting on valuation and auction days.
Over the past 12 months Bishop and Miller Auctioneers have raised a fantastic £1,200 for AJ’s Legacy. The money raised will be used to help a young person in need in and around the Suffolk area. Managing Director Oliver Miller said “We’re all proud that the money raised at Bishop & Miller will be used to make a difference in somebody’s life”
